57 DIVISION TROOPS CONDUCTED A SHRAMADANA CAMPAIGN

Under the guidance of Major General BPS de Silva RSP, the General Officer Commanding 57 Division and under the supervision of Commander 571 Brigade, troops of 9th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, organized a Shramadana campaign on 22 September 2019 to clean Dhurga Paththine Amman Kovil premises at Malayalapuram. The intention of the campaign was to strengthen the relationship between Army and the civilians, and to win the hearts and minds of civilians in the area of responsibility. Shramadana campaign was held from 0800 hour to 1200 hour with the participation of 01 x 12 troops.
