EXTENDING HELPING HAND TO A DISABLED FORMER LTTE CARDER

Major General B P S de Silva RSP the General Officer Commanding 57 Division visits a residence of at former disabled woman LTTE carder at Ponnagar village located in 3 GR sector of 574 Brigade during his visit in AOR. This disabled former LTTE carder is a widow with two kids with age of 10 years and 8 years old. Younger kid is suffering from Down’s syndrome. GOC donated some gift packs consisted of dry rations, cloths for family and stationaries for the kids. The lady expressed her heartfelt gratitude to General Officer Commanding and said that though it is 10 years passed after war is over yet nobody has cared us until Army came to our door step to assist.
