The 57 Division in the Security Force Headquarters, Kilinochchi staged a Mega Entertainment Evening from 1730 to 2200 hrs on 23 June 2019 at Paravipanjan playground - Kilinochchi. The programme was aimed to enhance the reconciliation among the public and the Army personnel in the area. The event included a K-9 show, Musical show, Fireworks display and a Band display.
The event commenced with the K-9 show displayed by Sri Lanka Army Commando K-9 Unit which stunned the spectators with their outstanding performances. Subsequently, the band display was conducted by Sri Lanka Engineers Regimental band whilst fireworks were displayed by 9 VIR troops, and finally the Musical show was staged by 7 SLLI Beat Group that thrilled the spectators. The local singers were given the opportunities to perform their talents with Beat Group and around 1000 civilians participated at the event.
The event was successfully organized by 7 SLLI and 9 VIR under guidance of Brigadier A S Hewawitharana RSP USP ndc IG, the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division and close supervision by the Colonel S AN D Edirisinghe RWP RSP psc, the Commander 571 Brigade.
