57 Division in the Security Force Headquarters, Kilinochchi staged a Mega Entertainment Evening from 1730 hrs to 2200 hrs on 22 June 2019 at Dharapuram playground. The programme was aimed to enhance the reconciliation among the public and the Army personnel in the area. The event included a K-9 Show, a Musical Show, a Fireworks Display and a Band Display.
The event commenced with the K-9 show of Sri Lanka Army Commando K-9 Unit and stunned the spectators with their outstanding performances. Subsequently, the band display conducted by Sri Lanka Engineers Regimental band, the fireworks display performed by 6 SLSR troops, the Musical show performed by 6 SLSR Beat Group thrilled the spectators. Around 600 civilians participated for the event.
The event was successfully organized by 6 SLSR and 14 SLNG under instructions of Commander Security Forces Killinochchi, Maj Gen G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG and with the guidance of Brigadier A S Hewawitharana RSP USP ndc IG, the General Officer Commanding of 57 Division and close supervision by the Colonel D M P P Dasanayake, the Commander 572 Brigade.
