KILINOCHCHI TROOPS CONDUCTED SHRAMADANA CAMPAIGNS AND DEEPAVALI POOJA

Troops of 651 and 653 Brigades of 65 Division under Security Force Headquarters -Kilinochchi involved in few CIMIC Projects in the area on 03 and 06 November 2018.

Troops of 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment of 651 Brigade organized a Shramadana campaign to clean Pallayarankaddu Sole Nila Pre School and troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment belongs to 653 Brigade conducted a Shramadana campaign to clean the Kulandajesu Church. More than 50 Military troops and Civilians participated in said Shramadana campaigns.

Meanwhile, the troops of 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment, 11 (V) Gajaba Regiment and 20 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment organized a Deepavali Pooja at Vellankulam Pulleyar Hindu Kovil, Mulankavil Pulleyar Hindu Kovil and Amithiyapuram Amman Kovil.More than 75 Military troops and Civilians participated in those events.

Both Shramadana campaigns were organized as per the concept of Commander Security Force Kilinochchi, Major General Ralph Nugera and under the supervision of Brigadier Wasantha Kumarapperuma, General Officer Commanding - 65 Division.
