‘FOUNDATION FOR HOPE OF CALIFORNIA’ DISTRIBUTED INDISPENSABLE ITEM PACKS AMONG POOR FAMILIES IN POONARYN AREA

Troops of the 66 Division serving the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi in coordination with the ‘Foundation for hope’, California launched a essential item distribution program on 22 Aug 2018 at Arasapurakulam Battalion Training School premises. 15 underprivileged families in Pooneryn area were distributed shoes, clothes and dry ration packs during an event. And the cost of the pack is approximately Rs: 5000.00.

The program was sponsored by Mr. Aravindhan - Foundation for hope of California and organized by 66 Division in order to boost the good will and reconciliation, under the guidance of Brigadier GWDK Jayathilake USP ndu, General Officer Commanding - 66 Division.

Brigadier GWDK Jayathilake USP ndu, General Officer Commanding - 66 Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest whilst Brigade Commanders of 661 and 662 Brigades along with the Commanding Officers and troops of under command Battalions and civilians of the area attended the event.
