Major General Vijitha Ravipriya assumed office as the 11th General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on Friday 23 February 2018.
The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding received the Guard Turnout which was given by the 3rd Gajaba Regiment at the entrance to the Division Headquarters upon his arrival. Afterwards with the blessing of ‘Pirith Chanting’ Major General Vigitha Ravipriya placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office.
Then, He addressed the all Staff Officers and Other Ranks in Headquarters 57 Division at the Utility Building of 57 Division and exposed his future vision for 57 Division. Afterward, He planted a sapling in the Division Administrative Area as a token of memory. All Ranks Tea arrangement brought the day's event to end.
