65 Division troops under Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ - KLN), intending to support unemployed women who resident in resettled village of Alankulam in Thunukkai, launched a programme to distribute seeds for cultivation of grains and vegetables at their gardens on 10 December 2017 to uplift the living standards and find earnings for the families. \r\n\r\n25 unemployed women at Alankulam under this programme received those seeds and vegetable plant for cultivation of vegetables, like brinjals, tomatoes, long beans, radish, green gram, cowpea, etc. Durning this distribution programme each women received 40 plants consist with 04 categories of vegetables (Total 1000 vegetables plant) and 10 seeds packs consist with ten categories. At the end of the programme, women were educated about planting fertilizing and nursing the vegitable plants by using a video clip that was produced Rupavahini Cooperation. Finally troops of 65 Division offered a tea party for the participants.\r\n\r\nThe distribution ceremony of seeds at Alankulam village headed by Major General Sarath Weerawardena RSP USP IG, General Officer Commanding 65 Division. Senior Officers of 65 Division, village officials and large number of people of Alankulam village also participated for the said programme
