BASIC MARKSMANSHIP TRAINING FOR BEST FIRES OF BATTALION TRAINING 57 DIVISION
Infantry battalion training is one of the most important training courses for Commanding Officers and all members of the battalion to understand each other capabilities, skills, courage, and determination in addition to collective training of infantry battalion.\r\n\r\nSpecial marksmanship package was introduced with direction of General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc, for Battalion Training at Battalion Training School - Ampakamam. The 3rd Gajaba Regiment has exploited the given opportunity and showed excellence results in performances in their firing test. The 3rd Gajaba Regiment has made a record in 57 Division by achieving outstanding results of qualifying over 97% of men by getting 8 inch groping during battalion training firing test. \r\n\r\nCoordination with the Commandant Marksmanship and Sniper Training School “HOME OF THE SNIPER” and General Officer Commanding of 57 Division conduct a special Marksmanship package for the best three fires of each battalion underwent training in year 2017 and weapon instructors of 57 Division.
