SECURITY FORCES COMMANDER (KLN) VISIT TO 16 (V) SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY REGIMENT
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Force - Kilinochchi made visited to the 16 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment on 08 December 2017.\r\n\r\nCommander was warmly welcomed by Commanding Officer on arrival before he was greeted to a Guard Turnout presented by 16 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops. During the visit, Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi discussed with the Commanding Officer and Officers present on administrative aspects, operational needs and welfare measures and the basic requirement of the troops.\r\n\r\nOn the day, Commander planted saplings and addressed the troops of battalions and urged them to continue their training and good work while maintaining the highest standards of military discipline at all levels. Further, He inquired into the facilities which are available for the troops. The commander left a complimentary remark in the Visitors’ book in 16 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Headquarters.\r\n\r\nGeneral Officer Commanding - 57 Division, Commander - 571 Brigade, senior officers, officers and other rankers attended for the event.
