DENGUE PREVENTION PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BY KILINOCHCHI TROOPS
Troops serving in the 57 Division under Security Forces – Kilinochchi launched a Dengue Epidemic Prevention programmes on 04 and 05 December 2017 in Kilinochchi. \r\n\r\n04 December troops of 16 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry conducted shramadana campaign in SK Aruchchole Children Home – Thiruwaiaru west with participation of civilians in the area.01 x 15 troops were participated for the sharamadana campaign.\r\n\r\nMeanwhile another dengue prevention campaign was conducted by 17 (V) Gajaba Regiment troops on 05 December at Barathipuram Amman Kovil.\r\n\r\nWith the current rainy weather there is a high risk of an increase in the spread of Dengue. The programme was carried out by troops of Security Forces – Kilinochchi to prevent an outbreak of this disease.
