A SOLDIER IN SECURITY FORCE KILINOCHCHI CAME FIRST AT SAHASAK NIMAVUM 2017

Going beyond the call of duty which is to defence the mother land, a soldier belongs to 9 Corps of Field Engineers under Security Force (Kilinochchi) S/241550 Corporal Priyantha Kumara W G wona Gold medal at Open category under the Engineering field at \"Sahasak Nimavum - 2017\", the National Invention Exhibition organized by the Sri Lanka Inventors\' Commission (SLIC) which was held on 26, 27 and 28 of September at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre in Colombo. \r\n\r\n\"Sahasak Nimavum - 2017\" exhibition was organized under the patronage of Minister of Science, Technology and Research Susil Premajayantha and around 400 inventions under thirteen fields, such as information and communication technology, traditional knowledge, electronics, import substitutes and nanotechnology displayed at the exhibition. \r\n\r\nCorporal Priyantha Kumara WG had participated for the New Invention Exhibition that was conducted at Security Force (Kilinochchi) area and he has won the first place at the said exhibition. Under the patronage of Commander Security Force (Kilinochchi), he had been introduced to Research Analysis Projection & Development Branch at Army Headquarters and later he got the opportunity to participate for the \"Sahasak Nimavum - 2017\", the National Invention Exhibition.\r\n\r\nCorporal Priyantha Kumara W G has named his invention as “Electric Ranging Pole” and it can be used in the field of survey. Due to this new invention, surveyors can be able to handle Ranging Pole and the Theodolite without assistance of Ranging Pole conductor s.\r\n \r\nOn 28 November 2017, Corporal Priyantha Kumara WG paid his courtesy to Commander Security Force (Kilinochchi) as per the invitation made by Commander Security Force (Kilinochchi), Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana USP ndc. Commander congratulated to Corporal Priyantha Kumara WG and appreciated his attempt as new inventors.
