6 (V) SRI LANKA WOMENs CORPS COORDINATES DISTRIBUTION OF SHOES AMONG STUDENTS
6 (V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps (SLAWC) troops under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) coordinated another community assistance programme, expanding its welfare measures to help necessitous students in the Kilinochchi area and distributed shoes during a simple ceremony at Ramakrishnan Primary School at Barathipuram.\r\n\r\nUnder this donation programme, 87 pair of shoes and pairs of socks which are valued Rs. 62,600.00 gifted to 87 students at said school. This charity donation was made by collective effort of Officers and Other Ranks in 6 (V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps.\r\n\r\nColonel PA Dayananda RSP, Volunteer Coordinator of Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi attended as the Chief Guest for the event. Major Jeewani Rajapksha Second In Command of 6(V) Sri Lanka Women’s Corps, Officers and Other Ranks, School teachers also were participated for the event.\r\n\r\nDuring the donation programme Captain N P S Hadapangoda Officer Commanding of Army Base Hospital – Kilinochchi and his team inclusive of 03 doctors throughout the day examined students for physical ailments, dental and visionary defects.
