57 Division conducted the Officers Training Day on 25 October 2017 at the Headquarters premises under guidance of Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc General Officer Commanding – 57 Division.\r\n\r\nCommencing the training day programme, Colonel L P K C Wijethunga RSP USP Commander - 572 Brigade delivered the opening address and said programme was conducted in two academic sessions. The book reviews discussion on topics of \'Mokvana\', \'Akanda Dahiriya\', \'Thama Balaya\', \'Dewantha Hekiyawa\', \'Vibagayen Uparima\' and \'Manasika Probodhaya\', \'Sithata Nidahasa\', \'Gatalu Wisadima\' were conducted by 07 Company Commanders serving under 57 Division during the morning session. \r\n\r\nIn the evening another discussion session was continued under the valuable themes of \'Akarshanathawaya\', \'Chamathkara Adaraya\', \'Aseemitha Suwathawaya\'. \'Sarubawa Weduma\', \'Gehanu Lowa Pirimi Lowa and Daruwan Lama Loweni\' which was interesting and highly productive given its present validity. 72 Officers including Commanding Officers of under command battalions were participated for the training day programme.\r\n\r\nMajor General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc General Officer Commanding – 57 Division conducted the closing address and he highlighted of professional military education and importance of effective education skills and courage required for officers to perform their assigned tasks.\r\n\r\nThe day’s proceedings culminated with a Get Together were held at Officers’ Mess of 57 Division Headquarters.\r\n
