CIJW COURSE NO 19 VISIT TO SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI
Twelve local Officers including and five foreign Officers belong to Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare - Junior Command Course No 19 (CIJW - JCC) at Army Training School, Maduruoya paid a visit to the Security Forces Headquarters, (Kilinochchi) on 17th and 18th March 2017. The visit was scheduled as a part of their training curriculum.\r\n\r\nStudent Officers were warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Ravi Pathirawithana psc, the Colonel General Staff , on arrival to the Headquarters. Later, a presentation on \"Handling of Post War Scenario in SF HQ Level\" was conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Arjuna Kodippili RSP, the General Staff Officer II (Coord). At the end of the session, Student Officers presented a memento to the the Colonel General Staff as a token of appreciation on their visit to Security Forces (Kilinochchi).\r\n\r\nAfterwards, they visited 57 Division and Colonel Prabath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP , the Colonel General Staff - 57 Division welcomed the students officers. Next , Commanding Officer 9th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment conducted a presentation on \" Handling of Post War Scenario in Div Level \". As the last leg of the first day itinerary, they visited to witness significant locations of the conflict in Kilinochchi District.\r\n\r\nNext day morning they visited the Harmony Center in Kilinochchi and they well-informed about the CIMIC activities conducted by Harmony Center in Kilinochchci. Then, They visited the 7th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry and they were made aware about the “Handling of Post War Scenario in Bn Level \" by Major Indika Gunawardhana RSP psc , the Commanding Officer of the particular Battalion.
