SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI SELECTED THE MOST STRONGEST BATTALION
As per the concept of Commander of Security Force - Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawan USP ndc, the ‘Herculean Competition’ to select the strongest battalion in Kilinochchi area was held at the on 22 June 17 at Paravipanchan Public Playground with more than thousands of spectators in parallel with the 8th Anniversary of Security Force - Kilinochchi .\r\n\r\nHerculean competition consisted with series of games. At the first session 34 of under command battalions fought at the Division level. Among them 12 battalions fought at the Paravipanchan Public Playground for the trophy. The competition consisted with attractive 06 events as follows;\r\n\r\n Pushing a Truck - 100 m (Switched Off)\r\n Carrying 25 x Water Cans - 100 m (20 L per Can)\r\n Carrying 25 x Sand Bags - 100 m (20 Kg per Bag)\r\n Rolling Three Tractor Tyers - 100 m \r\n Four Members Carrying the Complete Team on Shoulders - 100 m\r\n Relay - 9 x 100 m \r\n \r\nThe 24th Battalion of Gamunu Watch team won the trophy of strongest battalion of the Security Forces - Kilinochchi earning 9.660 scores while 4th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regimen team won the runner up trophy earning 9.581 scores.\r\n\r\nThe Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi gave away trophies and certificates to the winning and runners up teams. General Officer Commanding of 57 Division, and 65 Division also accompanied with the Chief Guest. Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks attended to witness the event.\r\n
