KILINOCHCHI TROOPS ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED FOR NATIONAL MOSQUITO CONTROL WEEK
Sri Lanka Ministry of Health has declared the week as a National Mosquito Control Week to launch island wide cleaning campaigns for mosquito eradication.\r\n\r\nIn parreral to this national programme, troops who are serving under 57 and 65 Division conducted the mosquito eradication programme with the assistance of Medical Officers and Public Health Inspectors (PHI) in the respective area. \r\n\r\nAround 130 officers and other ranks serving under the 57 Division are actively engaged in several areas including Kilinochchi market, railway station , Kalmadunagar, Visuvamadunagar and Paranthan for control this deadly epidemic.\r\n\r\nMeanwhile, 25 no of troops serving in 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the 65 Division conducted sharamadana campaign at Murugan Kovil premises in Mulankavil with help of health officials and civilians in the area. During this campaign special attention was given by troops to public and religious places.
