TROOPS OF 66 DIVISION MADE UP A CONTRIBUTION TO PROVIDE BOOKS AMONG SCHOOL CHIDREN IN POONERYN
Under the patronage of Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana USP ndc, with the supervision of Brigadier Duminda Kepptiwalana RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding - 66 Division, a programme which distributing books among school children was held at Ghanimadam Government Tamil School on 05 February 2017 as a community assistance project to encourage the children to make full use of the opportunities made available to them in order to pursue their desire goal and contribute to becoming responsible citizens of our glorious nation. \r\n\r\n54 children of area were presented the books and Ruhunu Publication, People\'s Park Colombo 11 was supported as unstinted donor for this charitable event. The cost of each book pack is Rs 300.00 School teachers and Children expressed compliments to military and they were heartedly appreciated and paid their humble gratitude toward the military.\r\n\r\nLieutenant Colonel R M S Bandara of National Cadet Corps, Civil Affairs Officer 661 Brigade presided as chief guest and Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, teachers and parents together with children participated to the ceremony.
