COMMANDER - SF (KLN) PERCEIVED WELL BEINGNESS OF SOLDIERS AND CONTINOUES MILITARY TRAINING
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi after assumption of duties as 10th Kilinochchi Commander in his new appointment made first formal visit to the Ampakamam Battalions Training School, Army Base Hospital - Kilinochchi and AIPT School - Barathipuram on 24 January 2017.\r\n\r\nThe Commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding - 57 Division on his arrival at Ampakamam Training School.\r\n\r\nChief Instructor of Training School briefly described the ongoing training and proposed training courses of the respective training school. Afterward sanitary facilities of trainees were observed by the visiting Commander and mutual discussion was held with Prefects of Kuliyapitiya Central College who are following the leadership training programme at Ampakamam Training School.\r\n\r\nOn the same day, Army Base Hospital - Kilinochchi was visited by the Comd SF (KLN) in order to learn the well being of soldiers under treatment. Officer Commanding of ABH - KLN welcomed the Commander on arrival at the premises. During the hospital visit, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana spoke to each and every soldier under treatments and gave away gift packs to each of them as gestures of emotional sentiments.\r\n\r\nAs the part of visit, Commander visited AIPT School Barthipuram and troops were presented drive pass to Commander and brief introduction was given by Chief Instructor of Training School. Then he visited the camp area and inspected the billets and training area.\r\n\r\nGeneral Officer Commanding - 57 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were attended for the event.\r\n
