Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi after assumption of duties as 10th Kilinochchi Commander in his new appointment made first formal visit to the Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi on 20 January 2017.\r\n\r\nThe SF – KLN Commander was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Dammika Kariyawasam, Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi on arrival before he was greeted to a Guard Turnout presented by FMA troops.\r\nDuring the meetings that ensued, Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana discussed with the Commander - FMA and Commanding Officers present on administrative aspects, operational needs and welfare measures and the basic requirements of the troops.\r\nDuring his visit in the Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi, he spoke to the troops and planted a sapling in the premises as a symbol of memory.\r\n\r\nCommander, Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks in the FMA attended for the event.\r\n
