COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI MAKES HIS VISIT TO 66 DIVISION
Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi after assumption of duties in his new appointment made a formal visit to the 66 Division Headquarters in Poonaryn on 19 January 2017.\r\n\r\nOn arrival at the 66 Division Headquarters premises, he was greeted to a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities after a warm welcome extended by the Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana, General Officer Commanding - 66 Division.\r\n\r\nDuring his stay in the Headquarters, he planted a tree at Headquarters premises. Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi addressed the troops serving in the 66 Division and spelt out his programme of work and enjoyed an all rank tea party that followed later on.\r\n\r\nAfter that the Commander listened to the briefing presented by General Officer Commanding 66 Division on the present reconciliation moves and the security situation in the area. Finally, Commander signing the visitor\'s book to mark his first official visit to 66 Division Headquarters.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that, Commander visited several key places in Poonaryn area such as Arasapurakulam Training School, Poonaryn Fort and Sangupiddi Bridge. General Officer Commanding, 66 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, officers and other ranks in the 66 Division attended for the day’s programme.\r\n
