NEW GOC ASSUMED THE COMMAND OF 57 INFANTRY DIVISION (KILINOCHCHI)
Brigadier G J A W Galagamage assumed the duties as 9th General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division on 30 December 2016 with military traditions and amidst religious blessing at Headquarters of 57 Infantry Division.\r\n\r\nA guard turnout was accorded by 9th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment to newly appointed General Officer Commanding as a formal welcome at Main entrance of the Divisional Headquarters. After assuming of the duties as General Officer Commanding addressed the troops and explained his vision. To mark this day a mango sapling was planted at the Divisional Admin area followed by a tea party arranged by the troops of 57 Infantry Division.
