INTER BATTALION VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT IN SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI ENDS WITH A THRILLING FINALS
Inter Battalion Volleyball Tournament for year 2015 in Security Forces Kilinochchi was held on 25 April 2015 at Harmony Volleyball Court Complex in Mankulam.\r\nTotal of 36 teams from Sri Lanka Army and Civil Clubs took part in the tournament which was held from 3rd Apr to 25th Apr and finals were played between 3rd and 11th Battalions of the Gajaba Regiment in which 3rd Battalion emerged as Champions after a trilling engagement. Lance Corporal Lakmal , Lance Corporal Warnakula and Lance Corporal Nilakshana all from the winning team were selected and awarded as the best attacker, best passer and best player respectively.\r\nThiruveiaru Maththiya Vilayattuk Sports Club and Elamparai Sports Club played for the finals in the civilian clubs where Elamparai Sports Club emerged as Champions. In the women\'s category, it was the Vibulantha Sports Club from Kilinochchi which emerged as Champions after beating the team from 6th Battalion, Sri Lanka Women\'s Corps.\r\nMajor General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The trophies and certificates were given away by the Chief Guest to the winning and runners up teams both Army and Civil matches. Generals Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Rankers and large gathering of Civilians attended the much thrilling event.\r\n
