CIVIL/MILITARY COMBINED FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT IN CELEBRATION OF WORLD PEACE DAY
As per the direction given by the Comd SF (KLN), Civil - Military combined football tournament was organized on 15 Sep 14 and 17 Sep 14 at Div$s level in celebration of World Peace Day and to strengthen the harmonious connection with the community.
KilinochchiSamagi team from 57 Div and PoonakarySamagi team from 66 Div played for the finals.
Final match of the tournament was played on 21 Sep 14 at the playground of 58 Div. KilinochchiSamagi team gained the championship whilst PoonakarySamagi Team was the runner-up: Best goal keeper of the tournament was J. Jaraline and the best player of the tournament was S. Shivalingam.
Comd, FMA (KLN) attended as the chief guest of this occasion. Offrs/ORs and a large crowd of civilians were present to witness the event. After the final match a musical show was held at the same venue from 1930 hrs to 2230 hrs and music was provided by SLCMP - band.
