The village Nithipuram which is in the area of 574 Bde under command to 57 Div is still developing and there are some houses which have not been facilitated with electricity yet. With the intention of illuminating the villagers’ lives lanterns were distributed to 100 deprived families who do not have electricity for their houses on 7 June 2014 at Mankulam Maha Vidayala. Financial contribution for the lanterns was offered by Chathura Cooray, the Field Manager of Hemas Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd.
The chief guest was the Commander of 57 Division for this event. Army officers other rankers with the Commander of 574 Brigade and villagers participated for this occasion.
