Review of ongoing welfare, development and various other services, carried out by Army troops serving the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), took place during a special meeting at SFHQ-KLN auditorium on Wednesday (22).
Major General Udaya Perera, Security Force Commander - Kilinochchi presided the meeting, attended by all General Officers Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Civil Affairs Coordinators and other senior officers.
The meeting closely evaluated all the projects in order to find whether benefits of those welfare moves reach out to the grass-root level as expected.
At the same occasion, arrangements underway in connection with the forthcoming Vesak festival were also taken up for discussion. The Kilinochchi Commander, commenting on the devotional song presentation, expected to be shared by recently-enlisted Tamil woman soldiers, expressed the hope that it would set a good example to all, concerned with reconciliatory moves.
