Dri Arukulm has been spilled and Ananadapuram East of monument just south of Thiruviarau- depot junc rd flooded due to heavy rainfall last night. 15 houses and 16 members and Rathnapuram Grama Niladhari Division under Karachchi Divisional Secretary Division 57 families with 300 members were affected due to overspill of Dri Ayyaru.
7th Sri Lanka light infantry troops took immediate action to providing meals and medical facility to affected peoples, under supervision of General officer commanding 57 Division.
