As per the directions given by Commander Security Force (Kilinochchi) with the guidance of General Officer Commanding 57 Division, and under the direct coordination of Brigade Commander 571 brigade, a workshop was conducted on pigeon keeping from 1030 hrs to 1230 hrs on 29 September 2019 at Facilitating Centre Kilinochchi in collaboration with Northern Racing Pigeons Association Jaffna. Some lectures, discussions and question and answering sessions were conducted during the workshop in order to educate the interested people on the history of pigeon keeping, training, handling and caring of pigeons. 47 interested civilians along with some military participants took part in the workshop.
