Under the guidance & supervision of General officer commanding, 57 Division, Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, one day workshop on beekeeping was held on 29 January 2019 at Utility Building of 57 Division, with the aim of uplifting the economic standards of people in Kilinochchi area.
This was conducted by Mr. Thissa Bandara Thabavita and Mr. Suranga Jayarathne, officials of ‘Bigu Sampath Surakimu Assosiation’, In order to familiarize Beekeeping as a self-employment. 10 officials of provincial agricultural organizations and 40 soldiers from under command Brigades and Batallions attended in this programme.
