WATER PUMPING SYSTEM WITH ELECTRICITY GENERATED BY SOLA POWER
An awareness programme on water pumping system with the use of electricity generated by solar power; was conducted on 13 May 2015 at Harmony Centre, Kilinochchi. The aim of this programme was to introduce effective use of solar power to farmers in the Kilinochchi area to solve their major issue of providing water for cultivation.\r\n\r\nThe programme was organized by 57 Division with the collaboration of Genso Power Technologies (PVT) Ltd and Commissioner of Agrarian Services, Kilinochchi. A large crowd of farmers were present to acquire knowledge to uplift their cultivation methods.\r\n\r\nBrigadier H J Senevirathne General Officer Commanding 57 Division, Assistance Director of Agrarian Services Kilinochchi Mr.S. Dayaruban, Chief Coordinator Dr. Awanatha Atapattu and members of Genso Power Technologies (PVT) Ltd attended this awareness programme.\r\n
