Kilinochchi Army troops, who have assisted in numerous ways to hold the National Vesak Day with strictly adhering to the health regulations regarding Covid 19 pandemic and exhibited their elegant Vesak decorations at the Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi, Divisional Headquarters and other formations.
On the instructions of Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi, put up a series of decorative Vesak arrangements and more than hundreds of Vesak lanterns that were placed along the Iranamadu Junction to Security Force Headquarters premises road on the Vesak day.
In the meantime, as per the guidance of Major General Priyantha Jayawardana General Officer Commanding 57 Infantry Division Kilinochchi town has been decorated with colorful Vesak lanterns, artistic light decorations and Buddhist flags. Further, Lumbini Temple Kilinochchi also adorned with various Vesak decorations.
Moreover, Poonaryn Junction and temple has been decorated with the direction of Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding 66 Infantry Division in order to reflect the most monumental religious and cultural Buddhist festival which clears the routes to enhance the religious reconciliation.
