Troops of 8 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment deployed under 571 Brigade in the 57 Division Area of Responsibility assisted the Preschool Officials, Parents and Children of Kaleiwanei Preschool to organize the annual Sport Meet. The event took place on 27 June 2013 at Anandapuram Kilinochchi in the Preschool premises which has 35 kids. On the request of the Teachers, Parents and the officials responsible for the administration of the preschool, Military Troops rendered their fullest support and arranged the event by preparing the Preschool premises.
It is heartening to note that MAS Active Pvt Lt. Vaanavil Division, the leading Apparel Industry branch at Kilinochchi also participated for the event by donating stationary items for the Kids at Preschool. In overall the event was highly successful since it was a coordinated effort of Military Troops, Preschool authorities, Parents and the participation of MAS Active Pvt Ltd. Vaanavil Division.
It was also a success since the kids were Jubilant; Parents were emotional and so happy to see the talents of their kids. The Preschool premise was filled with laughter and joy. Kids were so happy to receive bags full of gifts and presents. These incidents are the indicators that peace is slowly but steadily reaching every corner in Kilinochchi. Arrival of leading industries like MAS Active Holding Pvt. Ltd. to Kilinochchi is encouraging thus will surly strengthens the economy of the people in the area. In overall the development taking place in every segment of Kilinochchi society will ensure a bright future for the younger generation which is indeed the need of the hour to establish permanent peace in the country.
