During the inclement weather condition Nachchikuda GN Division of 65 Division AOR was flooded due to spilling water of the major tanks in Kilinochchi area. 65 Division troops immediately rescued flood-affected families and directed them to welfare centers after taking them on boats and through other means.
Accordingly, on the instruction of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi and on the direction of Major General K A W Kumarapperuma USP, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division and the supervision of Commander 651 Brigade, the affected victims were provided with hot meals by troops of 11 (V) GR, 19 SLLI and 20 (V) VIR under 65 Division on 06 December 2019.
