TROOPS IN KILINOCHCHI INVOLVED WITH CIMIC ACTIVITIES

Troops belongs to 573 Brigade of 57 Division, under Command to Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi conducted few CIMIC activities in Kilinochchi area on 04 January 2019.

The troops of 1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 15 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, under command to 573 Brigade conducted a Shramadana campaign and a wells cleaning activity with the help of villagers. 15 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment conducted a Shramadana campaign to clean the surrounding of Government Tamil Mix School at Waddakachchi. Troops of 1 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment conducted a water purification programme while cleaning 138 wells by using chlorine.

This CIMIC activities were conducted as per the concept of Commander Security Force Kilinochchi, Major General Ralph Nugera and under the supervision of Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, General Officer Commanding - 57 Division.
