TROOPS JOIN WITH CIVILIANS IN KILINOCHCHI FOR SERIES OF SHARAMADANA WORK
Troops of 571 Brigade under command to the 57 Division in Security Force (Kilinochchi) recently took part in a few social welfare projects with the close coordination of civilians living in those areas.\r\n\r\nOne officer and twelve Other Ranks of 9 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment serving under the Malayalapuram -based 571 Brigade recently organized a Sharamadana campaign to clean the Baptist Church at Bharathipuram in order to decorate the church premises for celebrating Christmas in this month.\r\n\r\nMeanwhile, troops of 57 Division and its under command 571 Brigade joined with the teachers and students of Central College - Kilinochchi to clean the playground and its surroundings. Two officers and 15 Other Ranks together with 20 school children joined their hands for said benefitted mission. The Principal of Central Collage in Kilinochchi and its academic staff praised the contribution of the troops of 57 Division and its under command formation.\r\n\r\nThe said series of shramadana campaign was organized under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General Jagath Gunawardhana RSP USP ndc psc and with the direct supervision of Colonel Ajith Kolambathnthri RWP RSP USP psc IG, Commander of 571 Brigade.
