TROOPS BID FAREWELL TO OUT GOING COMMANDER OF SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI

A Guard Turn Out and a Guard of Honour to the outgoing Commander Security Force – Kilinochchi Major General Niyshshanka Ranawana in accordance with military traditions to mark the relinquishment of his appointment as Commander Security Forces – Kilinochchi was held at the Security Force Headquarters premises on 06 November 2018.

A ceremonial Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour, presented by troops of 1 Gajaba Regiment serving under the Security Force Headquarters -Kilinochchi greeted the outgoing Commander Security Force Kilinochchi on arrival at the premises in keeping with military traditions.

During the military ceremony at the parade ground, the outgoing Commander, Security Force Kilinochchi, symbolizing the formal relinquishment of office, handed over the official flag of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi to the new Commander, Major General Ralph Nugera.

The outgoing Commander placed his signature in a formal document to symbolize the relinquishment of office.

Further, the outgoing Commander Security Force - Kilinochchi, delivered his farewell speech and commended excellent service and unfailing support of all the officers and other rankers during his tenure and requested the same to be extended for his successor in future.

Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi, General Officer Commanding 57 and 66 Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, senior officers, officers and other ranks attended to the event.
