With the directions of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi and under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General KAW Kumarapperuma USP, troops under 65 Division organized serious of events to celebrate the Diwali Festival on 27 October 2019.
Under the supervision of Commander 651 Brigade, Colonel WACN Warakagoda psc, troops of 11 (V) GR provided 50 vegetarian food packs distributed to devotees who attend for Diwali festival at Mulankavil Pullayar Kovil and troops of 19 SLLI distributed 100 lunch Packets among the devotees who attend for deepavali festival at Vellankulam Muththuamman Kovil.
Meanwhile, under the supervision of Commander 652 Brigade, Colonel W L A C Perera RWP RSP USP, troops of 7 SLNG organized an Alms Giving programme at Amman kovil Arogyapuram on Diwali festival day and troops of 20 (V) VIR conducted friendly cricket match with Anavilandankulam sports club at 20 (V) VIR Pay ground. 01 x 30 troops and 20 x civilians were participated in the tournament.
