TROOP ATTENDED DENGUE PREVENTION PROGRAMME PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF THIRED SCHOOL TERM
A series of dengue mosquito prevention programmes have been conducted covering all schools in Kilinochchi area, before the third school term begins by more than 1000 of troops under Security Force Kilinochchi. This series of shramadana programme have been organized under the direction of the ministry of health and Commander of the Army. The said series of shramadana campaign was conducted under the guidance of Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi.\r\n\r\nThe reason is obvious as every day the number of patients with dengue is on the increase in Kilinochchi area. The aim the dengue prevention programms was make the schools premises free of mosquito breeding grounds and mosquito larvae. Accordingly the direction of General Officer Commandings of 57 , 65 and 66 Divisions, all schools in the aforesaid divisions have been targeted to said series of shramdana campaigns.
