TROOP OF 57 DIVISION ENGAGED WITH A MERITORIOUS TASK WITH ELDERS
In parallel to the Vesak Celebration Week in Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Under the patronage of Commander Security Forces - Kilinochchi , Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding - 57 Division Major General Jagath Gunawardena and with guidance of Commander 571 Brigade Colonel Ajith Kolambathntri, Lieutenant Colonel Sri Rajapaksha Commanding Officer of 9th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Troops engaged with a meritorious event with the elders who are living in S.K. Elders home in Malayalapuram on 11 May 2017.\r\n\r\nTroops of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment offered lunch for 30 elders (15 male and 15 female) in S.K elders home and offered a gift parcels which are included essential items for day to day basic necessities. Further, troops spent their time with the elders while they were pleased to the artistic activities which are done by the troops.\r\n\r\nCommander Security Forces - Kilinochchi graced this meritorious occasion as the Chief Guest and Colonel General Staff – 57 Division and Commanding Officers and many officers and other ranks participated to the occasion.
