TRAINING DAY FOR SENIOR NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF 57 DIVISION
A one day training programme for Senior Non – Commissioned Officers who are serving at under commanding formations and battalions of 57 Division held on 24 October 2017 at the 57 Division headquarters.\r\n\r\nThe training programme was initiated on a concept of the Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc General Officer Commanding - 57 Division and it was held with the intention of improving leadership qualities and positive thinking of Senior Non - Commissioned Officers.\r\n\r\nA total of 100 Warrant Officers and Senior NCOs participated for this training programme. During the session, participants were divided into the four syndicates and given opportunity to share their views and experiences on the topics of \'Hakiyawa\' (Skill), \'Thama Balaya\' (Self - Power), \'Manasika Probodaya\' (Mental Awakening), \'Chamathkara Adaraya\' (Wonderful Love), \'Dairaya\' (Courage) and \'Lama Lowa\' (Child World).\r\n\r\nDuring programme General Officer Commanding 57 Division also visited to the syndicate room and shared his ideas and discussed topics related to the social behavior, way of the win heart and minds of the soldiers and how to be a set example for junior ranks of the Army.\r\n\r\nEnd of the programme, a demonstration on Guard of Honour was displayed at parade ground and Senior NCOs got the opportunity to clear their doubt on drill sequence of the Guard of Honour.\r\n\r\nA social get together for the participants were held at 57 Division Headquarters culminated the training programme. During this session 3rd Gajaba Regiment beat group presented their musical talents to the audience to keep the event success.
