On the concept of Commander of Army to enhance national integrity of the country, SF (KLN) recruited a batch of 11 Tamil males from Kilinochchi area who are able to converse in Sinhala and 113 Sinhala males from around the country. Under the supervision of Commander SF(KLN), the batch underwent Basic Military Training at 15(V) SLSR and passed out on 17 Jan 2015 at a ceremony held in 65 Div premises.
The ceremony was graced by Maj Gen G R H Dias USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding.
During the training period recruits were trained in different trades as tradesmen such as store men, clerks, drivers, electricians and bakers aparts from their basic training. On the performances through the training, award winners are as follows;
Best company - B Coy
Best platoon commander - Lt K N Priyankara
Best platoon Sergeant - Sgt Gamini Disanayaka
Best section commander - L/Cpl Kumara R N
Best physical efficiency - Pte Thinesh N
Best shooter - Pte Wijendra W A K R
Best recruit - Pte Marasinghe
Recruits amused the gathering staging Tamil dance, drill display and unarmed combat display. At the end of the ceremony parents and family members of recruits were presented with parcels of garments (worth of approximately Rs 40,000) which was donated by members of SF HQ (KLN) under the guidance of Comd SF (KLN).
 
Senior officers, other ranks serving in Kilinochchi area, parents, family members of recruits and civilians were present at the occasion.
