TAMIL LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TRAINING IN SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI
As per the training cycle devised under the supervision of the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi Tamil language training courses 5 and 6 was concluded recently. Total of two thousand eight hundred officers and other ranks followed course number 5 and 6. The training is organised by the 66 division. Certificate awarding ceremony of these two courses was held at AIPT training school Kilinochchi on 30 May 2013 at a colourful ceremony. Commander Security Focreces Kilinochchi Major General GVDUA Perera RSP USP USAWC psc was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Distinguished civilian guests, GOCs, Brigade commanders, Commanding officers and a large gathering of officers and other ranks attended the event. This is a full time course for a duration of one month designed and conducted to enhance the Tamil language proficiency of troops who are engaged in Civil Military Cooperation and Community Development activities. Cultural dance performances by number of dancing ensembles including dancers from South, dancers from Kilinochchi, Civil Security Department dancers and prformance by famous Sri Lankan vocalists created an electrfying environment. Special tokens were awarded for Best performances as listed below:
