The secretary of ‘Bingu Sampath Surakimu' Association, Mr Tissa Bandara Thambawita and it’s Officials on the request of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, conducted series of lectures on Bee-keeping as a viable source of additional income to both Army personnel and civilians in SFHQ-KLN, AOR from 27-29 October 2019.
SFHQ-KLN expects to propagate the practice of bee-keeping among under-privileged civilians as an alternative income-generating industry at domestic levels in remote areas of Kilinochchi after the troops become professionally trained to handle swarms of bees.
