The annual Athletic Championship of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi was held at the Central College grounds in Kilinochchi during 20 – 21 October 2019 with the participation of the Battalions under SFHQ-KLN and relay teams representing schools in the area.
The event was organized and conducted under the guidance of Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi.
It was aimed in order to tap hidden sport talents of the soldiers and elevate them to suit national and international standards.
More than 300 athletes comprised Officers and Other Ranks serving in all the formations in the SFHQ-KLN competed during the events.
Towards the end of the final day, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi, the Chief Guest awarded trophies, certificates and medals to the competitors who excelled during the meet. The overall championship went to the 57 Division while the 65 Division secured the runners-up in the meet.
Senior Officers, Officers, Clergy, Teachers and School Children witnessed the final day event.
