SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI CELEBRATES VESAK FESTIVAL WITH KILINOCHCHI COMMUNITY
Keeping another step forward with the intention of strengthening the religious reconciliation and mutual understanding among all communities, Security Forces Kilinochchi troops organized \"Vesak Zone\" on 03, 04 May 2015 at Kilinochchi Central School Ground. \r\n\r\nVesak Zone consists with \"Dansala\" and \"Vesak Lanterns\" which were colorfully created by Army troops. Approx 10000 civilians were interested to Dansala and watching Vesak Lanterns and they appreciated this valuable religious event.\r\n\r\nAdditional Government Agent Mr. Sathayaseelan - Kilinochchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A large gathering including Brigadier H D W Kariyawasam Commander Forward Maintaining Area- Kilinochchi General Officer Commanding - 57 Division,Brigade Commanders, Army Officers and State Officers, civilians attended this occasion.\r\n\r\nIn addition, 57 Division organized Blood Donation Progaramme with the coordination of Blood Bank- Vavuniya General Hospital on 04 May 2015 at Harmony Centre in Kilinochchi, focusing on the \"Vesak Day\". Approx 250 Army Officers/Other Ranks were attended this Blood Donation programme.\r\n
