SECURITY COORDINATING CONFERENCE HELD WITH MUSLIM DIGNITARIES

Major General GV Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG, the Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi conversed all Islamic religious dignitaries and had a meeting with them at the Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi in order to convince them about the prevailing situation of the country and how they should act and extend their support to military and police in the area to prevent unusual incidents.

Further, the Commander informed all maulavies that necessary security arrangements would be made on the eve of forthcoming Ramadan festival and asked that nearest Army Detachments with police would extend support to make the festival a success.

Furthermore, the Commander informed all Islamic religious dignitaries that perhaps Muslim community would be embarrassed due to present military operations in Kilinochchi District and merely precautionary measures have been taken for the security of Muslim villages but not to embarrass them.

Further, Islamic religious dignitaries appreciated the military commitments in providing security in the area. Few other senior officers of Security Forces Headquarters Kilinochchi also attended to the conference.
