RO COMMISSIONED TO PROVIDE PURIFIED DRINKING WATER FOR 65 DIV TROOPS

A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant sponsored by “Pure Tech Pvt Ltd” in liaison with “Manusath Derana” programme was donated for purification of drinking water for troops in the 652 Brigade Headquarters and civilians in Thunukkai in an inauguration ceremony on 26 November 2019.

Installation of the RO plant fulfilled a long-felt need at the 652 Brigade since it would have a great impact to prevent Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) for troops serving in this area and civilians in its AOR.

The RO plant has a capacity to provide 5000 liters per day and the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Kilinochchi Major General G V Ravipriya WWV RWP ndu IG commissioned the plant during a brief ceremony. Further, arrangements have been made to provide drinking water facility to nearby villagers and 20 (V) VIR troops also from the same RO plant. The GOC 65, Bde Comds’, COs’ and other senior officers were participated with representatives of Manusath Derana and Pure Tech Pvt Ltd.
