RELINQUISHMENT OF COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES KILINOCHCHI
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe handed over the duties and responsibility to Major General K A D A Karunasekara at a colourful ceremony held at Security Force Headquarters parade ground on 18 October 2015.During the ceremony Security Force Kilinochchi flag was handed over to the incoming Commander by Maj Gen Sudantha Ranasinghe symbolizing the formal handing over duties.\r\n Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe performed an incomparable service in Kilinochchi from 10 January 2014 to 18 October 2015 by winning the hearts and minds of all the organizational personnel,civil authorities as well as the civil community in the area. During handing over ceremony he was honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour, presented by 9th Field Engineer Regiment troops at SFHQ – KLN premises.\r\n Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe delivered the farewell speech and commended the excellent service and support rendered by the Officers and Other Ranks of SF – KLN during his tenure.General Officer Commanding, Commander – FMA, Brigade Commanders, Officers and large number of troops attended the event.\r\n
