With the directions of General Officer Commanding of 65 Division and under the supervision of the Commander 653 Brigade, 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry reconstructed the road from Alankulam to Wasanthapuram on 16 August 2020 by using a motor grader provided by Pradeshiya Saba - Thunukkai.
This event was initiated with the result of discussion had with the Commander of 65 Division and the Divisional Secretary and other Government Officers on 11 August 2020 during the CIMIC Conference at the HQ premises of 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Alankulam.
