PROGRAMME OF PLANTING COCONUT SAPLINGS CONDUCTED BY 65 DIVISION

With the supervision of General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP, 300 coconut sapling were planted at 65 Division camp premises by the officers and other ranks of 65 Division amid religious observance on 4 February 2020 in conjunction with the 72nd Independence Day. Special coconut saplings were provided by Coconut Research Institute - Lunuwila.

General Officer Commanding 65 Division, Major General DMHD Bandara RWP RSP USP graced the occasion as the chief guest. Moreover, Divisional Secretariat of Thunukkai, Officer Incharge of Mallavi and Iyankankulam police stations, Chief Medical Officer Mallavi Hospital, school principals and Grama Niladari in the area and Cultivation Officer were also presented on the occasion.
